My Work

My work reflects my fascination with darker themes and storytelling. When it comes to photography, I love capturing scenes in low light, where shadows, reflections, and contrast bring out depth and emotion. I especially enjoy photographing people, as it allows me to tell unique stories and explore the connection between the subject and their environment.

For my graphic design work, I lean towards the experimental. I like creating pieces that are bold, unconventional, and a little on the darker side. I enjoy pushing boundaries and blending intricate details with striking visuals to create designs that feel unique and evoke strong emotions.

Overall, my goal is to create art that stands out, challenges the norm, and leaves a lasting impression. It’s all about bringing my vision to life in a way that resonates with others.

I took a series of documentary photos that captured real moments with emotional and journalistic value. I did this for an assigment in my Visual Language Class. The photos needed to tell a story through time, place, and mood, using at least three different locations and techniques like composition, depth of field, and perspective.

The goal was to produce work that felt authentic and publishable in a news source or magazine. I focused on nighttime photography and people to capture compelling and atmospheric moments.

Field Trip - Shooting Exercise B

For this assignment, we explored Dundas Street West, Chinatown, and Kensington Market to create a photo essay. Using manual camera settings, we captured themes like architecture, city signs, and the intersection of people and transportation.
In Chinatown, we highlighted its unique character, old-world charm, music, and vibrant life. In Kensington Market, we focused on its bohemian vibe, textured details, nostalgic storefronts, and colorful art. The project was about creatively telling the story of these areas through photography.

Assignment 3 - Album Cover

For this project, I designed a music album cover for the song Falling by Trevor Daniel. Using Photoshop, I combined 8-10 images in a layered collage to create a visual story that complements the song’s emotional tone. I photographed myself and layered the images to craft a disorienting illusion, then overlaid them with space-themed elements to evoke a spinning, dreamlike effect. To achieve this, I utilized tools like the layers palette, selections, masking, opacity adjustments, filters, and blending modes. The final design includes the artist's name and album title, ensuring it reflects both my Photoshop skills and the essence of the song.

Assignment 1 - Creative Media - Adaptations

For this assignment, I adapted Little Red Riding Hood into a horror movie. The story is set in a dark forest where Little Red, a teenage girl, is stalked by a man wearing a wolf mask while on her way to visit her sick grandmother. The man traps both of them in the cabin, and Little Red must rely on her instincts to escape.

Along with a sample scene script, I also created a movie poster to capture the dark, intense atmosphere of the film. The adaptation turns the classic fairy tale into a suspenseful thriller focused on survival, with no hero to save the day—only Little Red’s resourcefulness.

Concert Poster

For this assignment, I created a concert poster and ticket with full creative freedom. The poster is for an EDM concert called Tomorrow’s Future. It features a skull in the background, giving it a dark, edgy vibe. The design is entirely in black and white, focusing on strong contrast and bold shapes to create a striking visual impact.

The ticket design follows the same minimalist black-and-white theme, ensuring a cohesive look that complements the poster. The overall aesthetic is moody and intense, capturing the essence of a futuristic EDM experience.
